I am trying to track down the marriage of GEORGE BRIAR and the birth of his daughter JANE. He was a sea captain journeying frequently between Scotland (Leith) and Granada in the 1830's. Jane was born around 1834 and it is possible that she was not only born but also continued to live in Granada - she contracted elephantiasis (also known as "Barbados Leg"
at around age of 12 and subsequently went to London (presumably after the death of her mother) where she died aged 22 in 1856.
Can anyone help by pointing me towards places where I can research the birth or christening of JANE BRIAR and/or the marriage of GEORGE BRIAR (no name for his spouse I'm afraid). Any help gratefully received.
