My family is trying to locate information on John Basden Ghent, approximate birth mid-1800s probably in England, then moved to Grenada. We believe he is the father of James Walter Ghent, born 1872 either in Grenada or Trinidad. Our records begin with James Walter marrying in Trinidad, eventually moving to New York USA. Any information/ideas appreciated.
