I am trying to find information about my great grandfather Philip "Jabez" Alcindor whom was born in Martinique. He migrated to Dominica between the 1890's and early 1900s due to the volcano eruption in Martinique. I am trying to find out who his parents were. He also was accompanied by two brothers, Frederick and Paul Alcindor.
Note: When my great grandfather and his brothers migrated to Dominica their surname was changed to Alcendor.
