I've been trying to locate information my Melville family in Trinidad. My Great, great grandparents Jane Amanda (Durre) and her husband John Melville sent their two children to live in the USA in 1875. The parents remained in Trinidad where I assumed they died and are buried. However, I find nothing. Perhaps something happened in that period of time of 1870-1875 that they would have send their children away and not have joined them. The son was born in Port-au-Spain in 1864 and the daughter in LaVentille in July of 1870.
Any help would be appreciated.
