I would like any information for a Alexander MacPherson, born 1791 in Gairlock, Ross Shire, Scotland. Died 1871,Cape North, C.B., Nova Scoria. He married Ann Frazer, 12-25-1829. She was born 1796 in Gairlock, Ross Shire, Scotland. Her parent were Duncan Frazer & Mary Kempt. Believe Alexander father name was Thomas. What part of Scotland is Gairlock, Ross Shire, Scotland. Gairloch is how it is spelt. And you'll find it on the west coast of Scotland on the mainland just opposite the nortnernmost tip of the Island of Skye. Very many people from that part emmigrated voluntarily or otherwise and ended up in Nova Scotia.
