Word handed down in our family is that our Kennadys came from Scotland to Ireland and from there came to the Colonies around 1699. I'm not sure where they were in Ireland, but Carrick-Fergus and also a place called Larne were mentioned. What port should I assume that they sailed from?? I would appreciate any help. I do not know our Kennady's first name. I descend from his son John Kennady.
